BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-2406 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES June 3, 2025 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Housing and Human Services was scheduled for Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 12:00 noon, in the 403 Room of the Capitol Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported SB 266 (Sen. Hertel) with recommendation. 2. Testimony regarding SB 19 (Sen. Anthony). 3. Testimony regarding SB 20 (Sen. Anthony). 4. Testimony regarding SB 21 (Sen. Anthony). 5. Testimony regarding SB 22 (Sen. Anthony). The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:04 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Irwin, Sen.(s) Santana, Cavanagh, Bayer, Shink, Cherry, Chang, Geiss, Lindsey, Hoitenga, and Damoose, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Santana to adopt the meeting minutes from May 20, 2025. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Cavanagh to report SB 266 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Irwin, Sen.(s) Santana, Cavanagh, Bayer, Shink, Chang, Cherry, Geiss, Hoitenga, and Damoose Nays: None Pass: Sen. Lindsey The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chair invited Sen. Anthony to summarize SB 19 – SB 22.
