BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7800 **DRAFT** COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES June 10, 2025 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure was scheduled for Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 3:30 p.m., in the 1200 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported SB 269 (Sen. Camilleri) with recommendation. 2. Reported SB 106 (Sen. Polehanki) with recommendation. The Chair called the meeting to order at 3:31 p.m. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Geiss, Sen.(s) Klinefelt, Wojno, Hertel, Chang, McCann, Bellino, McBroom, Victory, and Bumstead, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Klinefelt to adopt the meeting minutes from May 6, 2025. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited Sen. Camilleri to summarize SB 269. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 269: Amber Hunt and Scott Roberts, Wayne County Airport Authority – Support The following cards were read in of those individuals not wishing to present testimony regarding SB 269: Mark Polsdofer, Michigan Department of Transportation – Neutral Wayne County Executive Evans – Support The Chair invited Sen. Polehanki to summarize SB 106. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 106: Tanya Hilgendorf, Michigan Pet Alliance and Humane Society of Huron Valley – Support Holly Thoms, Capital Area Humane Society – Support The following cards were read in of those individuals not wishing to present testimony regarding SB 106: Bee Friedlander, Attorneys for Animals – Support Page 2 of 2 Ann Griffin, State Bar of Michigan Animal Law Section – Support Caitlin Stadler, ASPCA – Support David Handsor, Michigan Department of State – Neutral Mitchell Nelson, Humane World for Animals – Support At 4:05 p.m., the Chair recessed the committee. At 4:06 p.m., the Chair reconvened the committee. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Klinefelt to report SB 269 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Geiss, Sen.(s) Klinefelt, Wojno, Hertel, Chang, McCann, Bellino, McBroom, Victory, and Bumstead Nays: None The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Bumstead to report SB 106 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Geiss, Sen.(s) Klinefelt, Wojno, Hertel, Chang, McCann, Victory, and Bumstead Nays: Sen.(s) Bellino and McBroom The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee. Without objection, the committee was adjourned at 4:08 p.m.
