BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-2406 **DRAFT** COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES June 24, 2025 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Housing and Human Services was scheduled for Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 12:00 noon, in the Harry T. Gast Appropriations Room of the Capitol Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding SB 372 (Sen. Bayer). 2. Testimony regarding SB 373 (Sen. Cavanagh). 3. Testimony regarding SB 374 (Sen. Geiss). 4. Testimony regarding SB 375 (Sen. Irwin). The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:04 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Irwin, Sen.(s) Santana, Bayer, Shink, Chang, Cherry, Lindsey, Hoitenga, and Damoose, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Santana to adopt the meeting minutes from June 10, 2025. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair made a motion to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen.(s) Cavanagh, Cherry, and Geiss were excused from the meeting. The Chair invited Sen. Bayer to summarize SB 372 and SB 374. The Chair invited Grace Rowley, of Sen. Cavanagh’s office, to summarize SB 373. The Chair summarized SB 375.
