BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7888 **DRAFT** COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES June 26, 2025 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Regulatory Affairs was scheduled for Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. in the Room 403 of the 4th Floor. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported SB 304 (S-1) (Sen. Damoose) with recommendation. The Chair called the meeting to order at 9:32 a.m.. The Chair instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Moss, Sen.(s) Polehanki, McCann, Wojno, Santana, Hertel, Singh, Hauck, Webber, Lauwers and Bellino. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Polehanki to adopt the meeting minutes from June 12, 2025. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 304 (S-1): Daniel Ranville, Mackinaw City Planning Commission - Opposed Sandy Planisek, Mackinaw City Resident - No Position Philip Seibigteroth, Mackinaw City Resident - Opposed Sonny Koch and Tim Golding, Americans for Prosperity Michigan - Opposed Jim Draze, St. Ignace Resident - Opposed Dean Martin, Village Manger, Village of Mackinaw City - Opposed James Tamlyn, Mackinaw City Resident - Opposed David Morthland, Mackinaw City Resident - Opposed Chuck Ball, Mackinaw City Resident - Opposed Scott Ellis, MLBA - Support The Chair entertained a motion by Senator Hauck to report the S-1 version of SB304 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Moss, Sen.(s) Polehanki, McCann, Wojno, Santana, Hertel, Singh, Hauck, Webber and Bellino Nays: None Pass: Sen. Lauwers Page 2 of 2 The motion prevailed and the bill was reported.
