BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-0142 DRAFT COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES November 12, 2025 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Labor was scheduled for Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. in the Room 1300 of the Binsfeld Office Building The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported SB 700 (Sen. Camilleri) with recommendation. The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:32 p.m.. The Chair instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Cherry, Sen.(s) Camilleri, Cavanagh and Albert The Chair entertained a motion by Senator Cavanagh to adopt the meeting minutes from October 30, 2025. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 700: Sen. Camilleri – Support The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 700: Annabelle Hart, Michigan Nurses Association – Support Ryan Sebolt, Michigan AFL-CIO – Support Todd Tennis, IBEW Michigan State Conference – Support Wendy Block, Michigan Chamber – Opposition Jacob Manning, Small Business Association of Michigan – Opposition Brian Shoaf, Detroit Regional Chamber – Opposition Robert Joerg, Michigan Laborers District Council – Support Amanda Fisher, NFIB – Opposition Dave Worthams, Michigan Manufacturers Association – Opposition Rachel Richards, Michigan League for Public Policy – Support Andrew Crane, Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency – Opposition The Chair entertained a motion by Senator Cavanagh to report SB 700 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Cherry, Sen.(s) Camilleri, Cavanagh and Albert Nays: None Page 2 of 2 Excused: None Not Voting: None The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair made a motion to adjourn the committee at 12:40 p.m. Without objection, the committee was adjourned.
