Gast Appropriations Room on the 3rd Floor of the Capitol building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported SB 739 (Sen. McCann) with recommendation and immediate effect. 2. Reported SB 199 (Sen. Singh) with recommendation and immediate effect. The Chair called the meeting to order at 8:40 a.m. The Chair instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Anthony, Sen.(s) McCann, Cherry, Bayer, Santana, Shink, Irwin, Hertel, Cavanagh, Klinefelt, McMorrow, Camilleri, Albert, Damoose, Huizenga, Outman, and Theis, a quorum was present. The Chair invited Sen. McCann to summarize SB 729 for the committee. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding 729: Dr. Paul R. McCann, supported by Sen. McMorrow, to report SB 729 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Anthony, Sen.(s) McCann, Cherry, Bayer, Santana, Shink, Hertel, Cavanagh, Klinefelt, McMorrow, Camilleri, Damoose, Huizenga, and Outman. Nays: Sen.(s) Albert and Theis The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Hertel, supported by Sen. Shink, to recommend immediate effect for SB 729. Without objection, immediate effect was recommended. Next, the Chair summarized SB 723 for the committee. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. McMorrow, supported by Sen. Camilleri, to adopt the (S-1) version of SB 723. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Anthony, Sen.(s) McCann, Cherry, Bayer, Santana, Shink, Hertel, Cavanagh, Klinefelt, McMorrow, Camilleri, Damoose, Huizenga, and Outman. Nays: Sen.(s) Albert and Theis The motion prevailed and the substitute was adopted. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. McCann, supported by Sen. Klinefelt, to report SB 723 (S-1) to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Anthony, Sen.(s) McCann, Cherry, Bayer, Santana, Shink, Hertel, Cavanagh, Klinefelt, McMorrow, Camilleri, and Huizenga Nays: Sen.(s) Albert, Outman and Theis Pass: Sen. Damoose The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Hertel, supported by Sen. Cavanagh, to recommend immediate effect for SB 723 (S-1). Without objection, immediate effect was recommended. Next, the Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. McCann, to excuse members from the committee meeting. Without objection, Sen Bumstead was excused. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Irwin, supported by Sen.
