BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-0990 DRAFT COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES December 16, 2025 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Appropriations Subcommittee on DHHS was scheduled for Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. in the Harry T. Gast Appropriations Room of the 3rd Floor. The Chair called the meeting to order at 9:02 a.m.. The Chair instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Santana, Sen.(s) Cherry, Irwin, Bayer, Outman, Huizenga, Hauck and Theis. The Chair entertained a motion by Senator Cherry, supported by Senator Bayer, to adopt the meeting minutes from June 24, 2025. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Michigan SNAP Payment Error Rate Reduction: David Knezek, Chief Operating Officer for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services At 9:09 a.m., Senator Cavanagh entered the meeting. At 9:11 a.m., Senator Klinefelt entered the meeting. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair made a motion, supported by Senator Cherry, to adjourn the committee at 9:57 a.m. Without objection, the committee was adjourned.
