BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-6960 **DRAFT** COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES December 16, 2025 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Appropriations was scheduled for Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., in the Harry T. Gast Appropriations Room on the 3rd Floor of the Capitol building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding the recently cancelled 2025 work projects. . The Chair called the meeting to order at 11:10a.m. The Chair instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Anthony, Sen.(s) McCann, Cherry, Bayer, Santana, Shink, Irwin, Hertel, Cavanagh, Klinefelt, McMorrow, Camilleri, Bumstead, Albert, Damoose, Huizenga, Outman, and Theis, a quorum was present. The Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. Bumstead, to adopt the committee meeting minutes from December 9, 2025. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding cancelled work projects: Ingham ISD, Superintendent Jason Mellema Lansing Schools, Superintendent Ben Schuldinger: RX Kids, Dr. Mona Hanna Flint Schools, Superintendent Kevelin Jones Downriver Community Conference, Jazmine Danci Downriver Mutual Aid, Bob Matthews Natural Resources Defense Council, Abby Clark Sen. Chang Hamtramck Fire Department, Chief Matt Wyszczelski Sen. Polehanki Canton Township, Supervisor Anne Marie Graham Hudak Michigan Community College Association, Brandy Johnson SRSLY Dexter, Chrissie Kremzier Wayne State College of Nursing, Dr. Ramona Benkert Wigs for Kids, Maggie Varney There being no further business before the committee, the Chair entertained a motion by Sen.
