- The Committee on Education submitted the following: Meeting held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 9:45 a.m., Room 1100, Binsfeld Office Building Present: Senators Polehanki (C), Geiss, Chang, Camilleri, Irwin, Damoose and Johnson The Committee on Local Government reported Senate Bill No. 525, entitled A bill to amend 2016 PA 436, entitled “Unmanned aircraft systems act,” by amending section 7 (MCL 259.307), as added by 2018 PA 442. With the recommendation that the substitute (S-1) be adopted and that the bill then pass. Veronica Klinefelt Chairperson To Report Out: Yeas: Senators Klinefelt , Wojno, Moss, Bayer, Shink, Hoitenga and Daley Nays: None The bill and the substitute recommended by the committee were referred to the Committee of the Whole. The Committee on Local Government reported Senate Bill No. 581, entitled A bill to amend 2018 PA 57, entitled “Recodified tax increment financing act,” by amending section 201 (MCL 125.4201). With the recommendation that the bill pass.
