- The Committee on Finance, Insurance, and Consumer Protection submitted the following: Meeting held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 12:30 p.m., Room 1200, Binsfeld Office Building Present: Senators Cavanagh (C), Irwin, McCann, Bayer, Camilleri, Huizenga and Theis Excused: Senator Daley The Committee on Health Policy reported Senate Bill No. 301, entitled A bill to amend 1967 PA 281, entitled “Income tax act of 1967,” (MCL 206.1 to 206.847) by adding sections 279 and 679. With the recommendation that the bill pass. Kevin Hertel Chairperson To Report Out: Yeas: Senators Hertel, Santana, Wojno, Cherry, Klinefelt , Webber, Hauck, Huizenga and Runestad Nays: None The bill was referred to the Committee of the Whole. The Committee on Health Policy reported Senate Bill No. 716, entitled A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled “Public health code,” by amending section 7204 (MCL 333.7204), as amended by 2012 PA 182. With the recommendation that the substitute (S-1) be adopted and that the bill then pass.
