- The Committee on Health Policy submitted the following: Meeting held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 12:00 noon, Room 1100, Binsfeld Office Building Present: Senators Hertel (C), Santana, Wojno, Cherry, Klinefelt, Geiss, Webber, Hauck and Huizenga Excused: Senator Runestad The Committee on Local Government reported Senate Bill No. 553, entitled A bill to amend 2018 PA 57, entitled “Recodified tax increment financing act,” by amending sections 703, 705, and 710 (MCL 125.4703, 125.4705, and 125.4710). With the recommendation that the substitute (S-1) be adopted and that the bill then pass. Veronica Klinefelt Chairperson To Report Out: Yeas: Senators Klinefelt, Wojno, Moss, Shink and Daley Nays: None The bill and the substitute recommended by the committee were referred to the Committee of the Whole.
