- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON NATURAL RESOURCES AND TOURISM REP. DAVID MARTIN CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES The House Committee on Natural Resources and Tourism was called to order by Chair Martin. The Chair requested attendance to be called: Present: Reps. Martin, St. Germaine, VanderWall, Outman, Hoadley, Johnsen, Prestin, Bohnak, Fairbairn, Wortz, McFall, Scott, Weiss, Arbit, Foreman, Myers-Phillips and Wooden. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Fairbairn moved to adopt the meeting minutes from March 05, 2025. There being no objection, the motion prevailed with unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4013 before the committee: Representative Hoadley moved to report out HB 4013 with recommendation. The motion prevailed 17-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Martin, St. Germaine, VanderWall, Outman, Hoadley, Johnsen, Prestin, Bohnak, Fairbairn, Wortz, McFall, Scott, Weiss, Arbit, Foreman, Myers-Phillips and Wooden. Nays: None. Pass: None. The Chair laid a presentation from the Nature Conservancy before the committee. Richard Bowman, representing the Nature Conservancy, gave a presentation. Questions and discussions followed. Wednesday, March 12, 2025 Noon. Room 519, House Office Building HB 4013 (Rep. Slagh) A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled "Natural resources and environmental protection act," by amending section 73102 (MCL 324.73102), as amended by 1998 PA 546. The Chair laid a presentation from the Michigan United Conservation Clubs before the committee. Amy Trotter and Justin Tomei, representing the Michigan United Conservation Clubs gave a presentation. Questions and discussions followed. There being no further business before the committee, Chair Martin adjourned the meeting at 1:03 PM.
