BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7840 FAX (517) 373-3932 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES March 6, 2019 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Natural Resources was scheduled for Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at 9:00 a.m., in the 1300 Room of the Binsfeld Building. The agenda summary is as follow: 1. Testimony regarding Outdoor Recreation and Tourism Issues. The Chairman called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chairman McBroom, Sen.(s) Bumstead, Outman, Schmidt, and McCann, a quorum was present. The Chairman invited the following individual to present testimony regarding outdoor recreation and tourism issues remotely from Ironwood, Michigan: John Cox, Citizen. Questions from members followed. The Chairman invited the following individual to present testimony regarding outdoor recreation and tourism issues remotely from Escanaba, Michigan: Keith Lynch, Citizen. Questions from members followed. The Chairman invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding outdoor recreation and tourism issues: Mark Miltner, Michigan Paddlesport Providers. Questions from members followed. Bill Manson, Michigan Snowmobile Association. Questions from members followed. Greg Katt, Association of Recreational Vehicles and Campground of Michigan. Questions from members followed. Dick Kleinhardt, Back Country Horsemen of Michigan. The Chairman acknowledged Bob Wilson from the Michigan Trails and Greenways Alliance provided the committee with written testimony and Michigan Trails and Greenways Alliance hats. There being no further business before the committee, the Chairman moved to adjourn the committee.
