BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-3760 FAX: (517) 373-8661 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES July 28, 2020 A joint meeting of the Senate Committee on Environmental Quality and Senate Committee on Energy and Technology was scheduled for Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at 1:00 p.m., in the Senate Hearing Room of the Boji Tower. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Presentation by the Four Lakes Task Force regarding the Edenville Dam. The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:02 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Outman, Sen.(s) Daley, Johnson, VanderWall, Bayer, and Brinks, a quorum was present. The Chair recessed the committee from 1:03 p.m. to 1:04 p.m. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Daley to adopt the meeting minutes from June 23, 2020. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair made a motion to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. McBroom was excused from the meeting. The Senate Committee on Energy and Technology called roll. A quorum was present. Chair Outman deferred to Chair Lauwers to invite David Kepler, Chairman of the Four Lakes Task Force, and Ron Hanson, from Spicer Group, to give presentations regarding the Edenville Dam. Questions followed from members of both committees. Page 1 of 2 There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
