BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-6960 FAX: (517) 373-0897 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES February 7, 2024 A joint meeting of the Senate Committee on Appropriations and House Committee on Appropriations was scheduled for Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., in the State Room at Heritage Hall. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Presentation of Governor Whitmer’s fiscal year 2025 and 2026 budget recommendations. The Chair called the joint meeting to order at 11:00am. The Chair instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Anthony, Sen.(s) McCann, McDonald Rivet, Cherry, Bayer, Santana, Shink, Irwin, Hertel, Camilleri, Klinefelt, McMorrow, Cavanagh, Bumstead, Albert, Damoose, Huizenga, Outman and Theis, a quorum was present. The Chair welcomed the; Governor, Lt. Governor, Budget Director, Deputy Budget Director, and all the members of the House Committee on Appropriations. Next, the Chair invited the Governor to present her 2024 and 2025 budget recommendations to the Senate and House committees on Appropriations. There being no further business before the joint committee, the Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Cavanagh, supported by the Chair, to adjourn the Senate Committee on Appropriation at 12:13 a.m. Without objection, the committee was adjourned. Approved: 2-14-24 Page 1 of 1
