MARK TISDEL CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, June 9, 2026 10:30 AM Room 521, House Office Building The House Committee on Finance was called to order by Chair Tisdel. The Chair requested attendance to be called: Present: Reps. Tisdel, Frisbie, VanderWall, Lightner, Martin, Posthumus, Alexander, Aragona, Schuette, Hoskins, Tyrone Carter, Neeley, Breen, Young and Paiz. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Frisbie moved to adopt the meeting minutes from June 02, 2026. There being no objection, the motion prevailed with unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 5214 before the committee: HB 5214 (Rep. Schmaltz) A bill to amend 1967 PA 281, entitled "Income tax act of 1967," (MCL 206.1 to 206.847) by adding section 277. Representative Schmaltz testified in support of the proposed (H-1) substitute for HB 5214. Representative Frisbie moved to adopt substitute (H-1) to HB 5214. The motion prevailed 14-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Tisdel, Frisbie, VanderWall, Lightner, Martin, Posthumus, Alexander, Aragona, Schuette, Hoskins, Tyrone Carter, Neeley, Young and Paiz.
