BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7315 DRAFT COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES March 11, 2025 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Appropriations Subcommittee on Military, Veterans, State Police was scheduled for Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. in the Rooms 402 / 403 of the 4th Floor The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m.. The Chair instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Hertel, Sen.(s) Klinefelt and Theis The Chair entertained a motion by Senator Klinefelt, supported by Senator Theis, to adopt the meeting minutes from February 25, 2025. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The subcommittee welcomed Ann Zerbe, Director, Michigan Veterans' Facility Authority who discussed the operation and funding of Michigan's State veterans homes. Also welcomed to the subcommittee was Amanda Baker, CFO, Michigan State Police, and Sgt. Travis R. Fletcher, Government Relations Section, Michigan State Police, who discussed the possible departmental impact of a reduction in the receipt of federal funding. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair made a motion, supported by Senator Klinefelt, to adjourn the committee at 2:20 p.m. Without objection, the committee was adjourned.
