BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-2417 DRAFT COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES April 24, 2025 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Appropriations Subcommittee on MDE was scheduled for Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. in the Room 403 of the 4th Floor The Chair called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.. The Chair instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Bayer, Sen.(s) Klinefelt and Albert The Chair entertained a motion by Senator Bayer, supported by Senator Klinefelt, to adopt the meeting minutes from March 6, 2025. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair entertained a motion by Senator Klinefelt, supported by Senator Bayer, to adopt the (S-1) version of SB165. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Bayer and Sen. Klinefelt Nays: Sen. Albert Excused: None Not Voting: None The motion prevailed and the (S-1) was adopted. The Chair made a motion, supported by Senator Klinefelt, to report the S-1 version of SB165 to the Committee on Appropriations with recommendation as substituted (S-1). The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Bayer and Sen. Klinefelt Nays: Sen. Albert Pass: None The motion prevailed and the bill was referred. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair made a motion, supported by Senator Klinefelt, to adjourn the committee at 9:07 a.m. Without objection, the committee was adjourned.
