- The Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure submitted the following: Meeting held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 2:30 p.m., Room 1200, Binsfeld Office Building Present: Senators Geiss (C), Klinefelt, Wojno, Hertel, Chang, McCann, Bellino, Victory and Bumstead Excused: Senator McBroom The Committee on Civil Rights, Judiciary, and Public Safety reported Senate Bill No. 611, entitled A bill to amend 1961 PA 236, entitled “Revised judicature act of 1961,” by amending sections 2559 and 2950 (MCL 600.2559 and 600.2950), section 2559 as amended by 2023 PA 35 and section 2950 as amended by 2018 PA 146. With the recommendation that the substitute (S-1) be adopted and that the bill then pass. Stephanie Chang Chairperson To Report Out: Yeas: Senators Chang, Shink, Wojno, Irwin and Santana Nays: Senator Runestad The bill and the substitute recommended by the committee were referred to the Committee of the Whole. The Committee on Civil Rights, Judiciary, and Public Safety reported Senate Bill No. 612, entitled A bill to amend 1961 PA 236, entitled “Revised judicature act of 1961,” by amending section 2950a (MCL 600.2950a), as amended by 2018 PA 146, and by adding sections 2950d and 2950p. With the recommendation that the substitute (S-1) be adopted and that the bill then pass.
