BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-0793 FAX: (517) 373-5607 **DRAFT** COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES July 23, 2020 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Advice and Consent was scheduled for Thursday, July 23, 2020, at 12:00 noon, in the 403 Room of the Capitol Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. A hearing to consider the appointments of Michael Lashbrook, James R. Richardson, and Carol Rose to the Natural Resources Commission. The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:18 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Nesbitt, Sen.(s) Theis, McBroom and Hertel, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Theis to adopt the meeting minutes from June 25, 2020. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding the appointment of Michael Lashbrook to the Natural Resources Commission: Michael Lashbrook – Support The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding the appointment of James R. Richardson to the Natural Resources Commission: James R. Richardson – Support The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding the appointment of Carol Rose to the Natural Resources Commission: Carol Rose – Support The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding the appointment of James R. Richardson to the Natural Resources Commission: Scott Robbins, Michigan Forest Products Council – Support Page 1 of 2 There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
