- COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES February 27, 2020 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Community Health/Human Services was scheduled for Thursday, February 27, 2020, at 8:30 a.m., in the Harry T. Gast Appropriations Room, 3rd Floor, Capitol Building. The Chair called the meeting to order at 8:33 a.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair MacGregor, Sen.(s) Bizon, Schmidt, LaSata, MacDonald, Hertel, Irwin and Santana, a quorum was present. The Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. Bizon, to adopt the meeting minutes from February 19, 2020. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Joneigh S. Khaldun and Dawn M Shanafelt, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services – Support The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Amy Zaaghan, Michigan Council for Maternal and Child Health – No Position Amy Zaaghan, Michigan Council for Maternal and Child Health – No Position The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Kathleen Strader, Healthy Families America – No Position Kathleen Strader, Healthy Families America – No Position The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Lisa Foehner, Parents as Teachers – No Position The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Amanda Lick, Kristin Arnold, Celeste Danson, Nurse Family Partnership – No Position The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Irwin, supported by Sen. Bizon, to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. Barrett was excused from the meeting. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. Bizon, to adjourn the committee at 9:43 a.m.Without objection, the committee was adjourned.
