- COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES February 19, 2020 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Appropriations Subcommittee on Community Health/Human Services was scheduled for Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at 12:30 p.m., in the Harry T. Gast Appropriations Room, 3rd Floor, Capitol Building. The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:33 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair MacGregor, Sens. Bizon, Schmidt, LaSata, MacDonald, Hertel, Irwin and Santana, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Bizon, supported by Sen. Schmidt, to adopt the meeting minutes from February 5, 2020. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Robert Gordon, Director, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services – No Position Farah Hanley, Senior Deputy Director of Financial Operations, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services – No Position At 12:37 p.m., Sen. Curtis Hertel entered the meeting. At 1:06 p.m., Sen. Kimberly LaSata entered the meeting. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Schmidt, supported by Sen. Barrett, to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. Barrett was excused from the meeting. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. Hertel, to adjourn the committee at 1:22 p.m.Without objection, the committee was adjourned.
