- COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES February 5, 2020 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Appropriations Subcommittee on Community Health/Human Services was scheduled for Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at 12:30 p.m., in the Harry T. Gast Appropriations Room, 3rd Floor, Capitol Building. The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:32 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair MacGregor, Sens. Bizon, Schmidt, LaSata, MacDonald, Hertel, Irwin and Santana, a quorum was present. At 12:33 p.m., Sen. Michael MacDonald entered the meeting. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Patty Sabin and Lansing Sanchez Castillo, Michigan CASA – Support Michael Christy and Melissa Werkman, Children's Advocacy Centers – Support Michael Christy and Melissa Werkman, Children's Advocacy Centers – Support Colleen Allen and Jill Madsen, Autism Alliance of Michigan – Support At 12:34 p.m., Sen. Sylvia Santana entered the meeting. A quorum was now present. At 12:35 p.m., Sen. Jeff Irwin entered the meeting. At 12:37 p.m., Sen. Curtis Hertel entered the meeting. At 12:39 p.m., Sen. Wayne Schmidt entered the meeting. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Schmidt, supported by Sen. MacGregor, to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. Barrett was excused from the meeting. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Bizon, supported by Sen. MacGregor, to adopt the meeting minutes from December 4th, 2019. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. Hertel, to adjourn the committee at 1:45 p.m.Without objection, the committee was adjourned.
