- **DRAFT** COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES March 5, 2020 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Justice and Public Safety was scheduled for Thursday, March 5, 2020, at 1:15 p.m., in the 1200 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:15 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Barrett, Sen.(s) Runestad and Hollier, a quorum was present. The Chair welcomed the following individual to present testimony regarding the Michigan Joint Task Force on Jail and Pretrial Incarceration, and the subsequent law enforcement training required: Timothy Bourgeois, Executive Director, Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES) The Chair welcomed the following individual to present testimony on the Secondary Road Patrol Grant Program: Daniel Pfannes, Undersheriff, Wayne County The Chair welcomed the following individuals to present testimony on a range of budget issues related to the Department of State Police (MSP): F/Lt Tim Fitzgerald, legislative Liaison, MSP Amanda Baker, Budget Director, MSP There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
