- **DRAFT** COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES May 24, 2022 A joint meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Community Health/Human Services and Senate Committee on Oversight was scheduled for Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at 1:30 p.m., in the Harry T. Gast Appropriations Room. The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:31 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Outman, Sen.(s) Bizon, Daley, Huizenga, LaSata, MacDonald, Schmidt, Brinks, Hollier and Irwin, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Schmidt, supported by Sen. Daley, to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. Santana was excused from the meeting. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Bizon, supported by Sen. LaSata, to adopt the meeting minutes from April 20, 2022. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding the OAG Performance Audit Report: MI Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program, Health and Aging Services Administration, MI Department of Health and Human Services. Michael Ventura, Audit Division Manager and Katie Snyder, Audit Supervisor, Office of the Auditor General The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding the OAG Performance Audit Report: MI Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program, Health and Aging Services Administration, MI Department of Health and Human Services. Scott Wamsley, Director of the Bureau of Aging, Community Living, and Supports; Salli Pung, State Long Term Care Ombudsman; and Kristina Leonardi, Director of the Aging and Community Services Division, Department of Health and Human Services At 2:00 p.m., Sen. Wayne Schmidt left the meeting. At 2:14 p.m., Sen. Wayne Schmidt entered the meeting. At 2:20 p.m., Sen. Mark Huizenga left the meeting. At 2:24 p.m., Sen. Kevin Daley left the meeting. At 2:33 p.m., Sen. Adam Hollier left the meeting. Page 1 of 2 At 2:35 p.m., Sen. Adam Hollier entered the meeting. At 3:03 p.m., Sen.(s) Wayne Schmidt and Adam Hollier left the meeting. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. Bizon, to adjourn the committee at 3:12 p.m. Without objection, the committee was adjourned.
