**DRAFT** COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES March 15, 2022 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Community Health/Human Services was scheduled for Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at 8:30 a.m., in the Harry T. Gast Appropriations Room. The Majority Vice Chair called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m.. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Majority Vice Chair Bizon, Sen.(s) Daley, Huizenga, Santana, Irwin, and Brinks, a quorum was present. At 8:31 a.m., Sen. Rick Outman entered the meeting. The Majority Vice Chair John Bizon, M.D. invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Governor Whitmer’s proposed FY 2022-23 Budget Recommendation. Paula Kaiser Van Dam, Department of Health and Human Services- Director of the Bureau of Community Services Lynn Hendges, Department of Health and Human Services- Housing Services Section Manager Debi Cain, Department of Health and Human Services- Director of the Michigan Division of Victim Services At 8:32 a.m., Sen. Wayne Schmidt entered the meeting. At 8:34 a.m., Sen. Michael MacDonald entered the meeting. At 8:54 a.m., Sen. Adam Hollier entered the meeting. At 8:54 a.m., Sen. Kevin Daley left the meeting. At 9:00 a.m., Sen.(s) John Bizon and Wayne Schmidt left the meeting. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Governor Whitmer’s proposed FY 2022-23 Budget Recommendation. Sarah Prout Rennie, Executive Director of the Michigan Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. MacDonald, supported by Sen. Santana, to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. LaSata was excused from the meeting. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. MacDonald, to adjourn the committee at 9:39 a.m. Without objection, the committee was adjourned.
