- **DRAFT** COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES February 29, 2024 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Corrections and Judiciary was scheduled for Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 1:30 p.m., in the 1300 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:35 p.m. At 1:36 p.m. the Chair instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Shink, Sen.(s) Santana, Irwin and Outman, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Santana, supported by Sen. Irwin, to adopt the meeting minutes from February 22, 2024. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding current year appropriations and Supreme Court Administrative Order # 2023-32 requiring an independent audit of the Judicial Tenure Commission. Lynn Helland, Judicial Tenure Commission – No Position Additional verbal testimony regarding probate court judges was provided by Ms. Lori Looma and Ms. Jody White, members of the public. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding the FY 2024-25 Executive Budget Recommendation: Jonathan Sacks & Marilena David, State Appellate Defender Office – No Position There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
