- **DRAFT** COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES April 23, 2024 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on DHHS was scheduled for Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 12:30 p.m., in the Rooms 402/403, Capitol Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:34 p.m.. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Santana, Sen.(s) McDonald Rivet, Irwin, Cavanagh, Cherry, Bayer, Outman, Huizenga, Hauck and Theis, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. McDonald Rivet, supported by Sen. Bayer, to adopt the meeting minutes from April 9, 2024. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. Ellyn Ackerman and John Maxwell provided an overview of the Chair's Recommendation for the FY 2024-2025 Department of Health and Human Services Budget (SB 767) The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Cavanagh, supported by Sen. Bayer, to adopt the (S-1) version of SB 767. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Santana, Sen.(s) McDonald Rivet, Irwin, Cavanagh, Cherry, Bayer, and Outman. Nays: Sen.(s) Huizenga, Hauck, and Theis. The motion prevailed and the (S-1) was adopted. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Cavanagh, supported by Sen. Bayer, The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Santana, Sen.(s) McDonald Rivet, Irwin, Cavanagh, Cherry, and Bayer. Nays: Sen.(s) Huizenga, Hauck, and Theis. Pass: Sen.(s) Outman. The motion prevailed and the bill was referred. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair made a motion, supported by Sen.
