- **DRAFT** COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES March 12, 2024 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on DHHS was scheduled for Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at 12:00 noon, in the Rooms 402/403, Capitol Building. The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:00 noon. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Santana, Sen.(s) McDonald Rivet, Irwin, Cavanagh, Cherry, Bayer, Outman, Huizenga, Hauck and Theis, a quorum was present. The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding Chris Matus, Director of Government Relations in the Office of the Wayne County Executive – No Position The Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. Bayer, to adopt the meeting minutes from March 5, 2024. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Swavil Williams, Citizen – No Position Olivia Lovett, Citizen – No Position The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Demetrius Howard, Citizen – No Position Tanysha Jackson, Citizeb – No Position At 12:15 p.m., Sen. Mark Huizenga entered the meeting. At 12:16 p.m., Sen. Jeff Irwin entered the meeting. At 12:18 p.m., Sen. Roger Hauck entered the meeting. At 12:19 p.m., Sen. Mark Huizenga left the meeting. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Byrd – Support William McCoy, Citizen – Support At 12:26 p.m., Sen. Lana Theis left the meeting.
