- **DRAFT** COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES February 22, 2024 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on DHHS was scheduled for Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 12:00 noon, in the Harry T. Gast Appropriations Room. The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:01 p.m.. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Santana, Sen.(s) McDonald Rivet, Irwin, Cavanagh, Cherry, Bayer, Outman, Huizenga, Hauck and Theis, a quorum was present. The Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. McDonald Rivet, to adopt the meeting minutes from February 14, 2024. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Beth Nagel, Senior Deputy Director of the Policy Planning and Operational Support Administration - Michigan Department of Health and Human Services – No Position Amy Epkey, Senior Deputy Director of the Financial Operations Administration - Michigan Department of Health and Human Services – No Position Dr. Sarah Lyon-Callo, Senior Deputy Director of the Public Health Administration - Michigan Department of Health and Human Services – No Position The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Cheree Thomas, Interim Co-Executive Director - Michigan Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence – No Position Heath Lowry, Public Policy Specialist - Michigan Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence – No Position The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Alia Harvey-Quinn, Founder and Executive Director of FORCE Detroit – No Position The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Derrick Jackson, CVI Program Director for the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office – No Position There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
