- **DRAFT** COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES March 7, 2023 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on DHHS was scheduled for Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at 8:30 a.m., in the Rooms 402/403, Capitol Building. The Chair called the meeting to order at 8:31 a.m.. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Santana, Sen.(s) McDonald Rivet, Cavanagh, Cherry, Outman, Huizenga, and Hauck, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. McDonald Rivet, supported by Sen. Cavanagh, to adopt the meeting minutes from March 2, 2023. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Behavioral Health Services Eric Doeh, CEO, Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network Sandra Lindsey, CEO, Saginaw County Community Mental Health Authority Michael Hunter, President, Team Wellness Center Mona Makki, Andrew Coleman, and Jessica Kowalski, ACCESS Farah Hanley, Chief Deputy Director for Health and Jeff Wieferich, Director of the Bureau of Specialty Behavioral Health Services, Department of Health and Human Services At 8:33 a.m., Sen. Lana Theis entered the meeting. At 8:37 a.m., Sen. Rosemary Bayer entered the meeting. At 8:38 a.m., Sen. Jeff Irwin entered the meeting. At 8:50 a.m., Sen. Kristen McDonald Rivet left the meeting. At 8:58 a.m., Sen.(s) Mark Huizenga, Rick Outman and Lana Theis left the meeting. The Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. Cherry, to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. Camilleri was excused from the meeting. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. Irwin, to adjourn the committee at 9:54 a.m.Without objection, the committee was adjourned. Page 1 of 1
