- **DRAFT** COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES March 2, 2023 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on DHHS was scheduled for Thursday, March 2, 2023, at 4:00 p.m., in the Rooms 402/403, Capitol Building. The Chair called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. The Chair instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Santana, Sen.(s) McDonald Rivet, Irwin, Cherry, Bayer, Theis, Huizenga and Hauck, a quorum was present. At 4:01 p.m., Sen. Mary Cavanagh entered the meeting. A quorum was now present. The Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. Cavanagh, to adopt the meeting minutes from February 28, 2023. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. At 4:03 p.m., Sen. Rick Outman entered the meeting. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding behavioral healthcare services. Michael Garrett, President and CEO of CNS Healthcare – No Position At 4:10 p.m., Sen. Mark Huizenga left the meeting. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding behavioral healthcare services. Juliana Harper, Jeff Guina, and Brent Wirth with Easterseals – No Position The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding behavioral healthcare services. Kerry Possehn, CEO of The Right Door – No Position The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding behavioral healthcare services. Phillip Bergquist, CEO of the Michigan Primary Care Association – No Position The Chair made a motion to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. Camilleri was excused from the meeting. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
