- **DRAFT** COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES April 24, 2024 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government was scheduled for Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 3:30 p.m., in the 1100 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Referred SB 760 ( Cherry) to the Committee on Appropriations and immediate effect. The Chair called the meeting to order at 4:20 p.m. At 4:21 p.m. the Chair instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Cherry, Sen.(s) Bayer, Klinefelt, Albert and Hauck, a quorum was present. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding the FY 2024-25 General Government Appropriations Subcommittee Chair’s Recommendation. Michael Siracuse, Elizabeth Raczkowski, Joe Carrasco, and Cory Savino of the Senate Fiscal Agency, Senator Albert asked for clarification on debt service payments. Senator Cherry made comments regarding the proposed SB 760 (S-1), particularly regarding revenue sharing changes. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Bayer, supported by Sen. Klinefelt, to adopt the (S-1) version of SB 760. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Cherry, Sen.(s) Bayer and Klinefelt. Nays: Sen.(s) Albert and Hauck. The motion prevailed and the (S-1) was adopted. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Bayer, supported by Sen. Klinefelt, to refer SB 760 to the Committee on Appropriations. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Cherry, Sen.(s) Bayer and Klinefelt. Nays: Sen.(s) Albert and Hauck. The motion prevailed and the bill (S-1) was referred. The Chair made a motion to recommend immediate effect for SB 760 (S-1). Without objection, immediate effect was recommended. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. Bayer, to adjourn the committee at 4:50 p.m.Without objection, the committee was adjourned.
