- **DRAFT** COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES April 16, 2024 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on LARA/DIFS was scheduled for Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 1:30 p.m., in the Harry T. Gast Appropriations Room. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Referred SB 764 ( Cavanagh) to the Committee on Appropriations, with recommendation as substituted (S-1). 2. Referred SB 765 ( Cavanagh) to the Committee on Appropriations, with recommendation as substituted (S-2). The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:33 p.m.. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Cavanagh, Sen.(s) Santana and Theis, a quorum was present. The Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. Theis, to adopt the meeting minutes from March 12, 2024. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. Santana, to adopt the (S-1) version of SB 764. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Cavanagh, Sen.(s) Santana and Theis. Nays: None The motion prevailed and the (S-1) was adopted. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Santana, supported by Sen. Santana, to refer SB 764 to the Committee on Appropriations, with recommendation as substituted (S-1). The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Cavanagh, Sen.(s) Santana. Nays: None Pass: Sen.(s) Theis. The motion prevailed and the bill was referred. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Santana, supported by Sen. Santana, to adopt the (S-2) version of SB 765. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Cavanagh, Sen.(s) Santana and Theis. Nays: None The motion prevailed and the (S-2) was adopted. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Santana, supported by Sen. Santana, to refer SB 765 to the Committee on Appropriations, with recommendation as substituted (S-2). The vote was as follows: Page 1 of 2 Yeas: Chair Cavanagh, Sen.(s) Santana. Nays: None Pass: Sen.(s) Theis. The motion prevailed and the bill was referred. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair made a motion, supported by Sen.
