- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND SMALL BUSINESS REP. JASON M HOSKINS CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, January 31, 2023 9:00 AM Room 326, House Office Building The House Committee on Economic Development and Small Business was called to order by Chair Hoskins. The Clerk read the letter from House Speaker Joe Tate which appointed members of the House Committee on Economic Development and Small Business. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Hoskins, Grant, Neeley, Liberati, Coffia, Farhat, Miller, Tisdel, VanWoerkom, Martin, Roth, St. Germaine. Absent: Rep. Whitsett. Excused: Rep. Whitsett. Representative Grant moved to adopt Room 326, Tuesdays, at 9 am, as the standing Room, Day, and Time of the committee. The motion prevailed 12-0-0: The motion prevailed 12-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Hoskins, Grant, Neeley, Liberati, Coffia, Farhat, Miller, Tisdel, VanWoerkom, Martin, Roth, St. Germaine. Nays: None. Pass: None. The Chair laid a presentation on the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity before the committee. Susan Corbin, Director of the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity was invited to present to the committee. . Questions and discussion followed. The Chair invited Todd Cook, Director of Legislative Affairs from the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity to give a presentation. Questions and discussion followed. Representative Grant moved to excuse Representative Whitsett from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent.
