- **DRAFT** COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES April 20, 2023 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on LARA/DIFS was scheduled for Thursday, April 20, 2023, at 4:00 p.m., in the 1200 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Referred SB 195 ( Cavanagh) to the Committee on Appropriations. 2. Referred SB 196 ( Cavanagh) to the Committee on Appropriations. The Chair called the meeting to order at 4:04 p.m.. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Cavanagh, Sen.(s) Santana and Theis, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Santana, supported by Sen. Theis, to adopt the meeting minutes from March 21, 2023. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Jonah Houtz, Senate Fiscal Agency – No Position The Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. Santana, to refer SB 195 to the Committee on Appropriations. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Cavanagh, Sen.(s) Santana. Nays: Sen.(s) Theis. The motion prevailed and the bill was referred. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Jonah Houtz, Senate Fiscal Agency – No Position The Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. Santana, to refer SB 196 to the Committee on Appropriations. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Cavanagh, Sen.(s) Santana. Nays: Sen.(s) Theis. The motion prevailed and the bill was referred. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. Santana, to adjourn the committee at 4:14 p.m.Without objection, the committee was adjourned.
