- **DRAFT** COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES March 5, 2024 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on PreK-12 was scheduled for Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at 12:00 noon, in the Harry T. Gast Appropriations Room. The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:00 noon. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Camilleri, Sen.(s) Polehanki, Hertel, Klinefelt, Cavanagh, McDonald Rivet, Theis and Albert, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Cavanagh, supported by Sen. Klinefelt, to adopt the meeting minutes from February 20, 2024. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding the teacher shortage Renee Morse, Launch Michigan Elnora Gavin, Autumn Butler, Angela Wilson-Turnbull, and Arlyssa Heard, Michigan Education Justic Coalition - African American Committee Armen Hratchian, Teach Michigan There being no further business before the committee, the Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. Polehanki, to adjourn the committee at 1:25 p.m.Without objection, the committee was adjourned. Page 1 of 1
