ANGELA WITWER CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, February 1, 2023 9:00 AM Room 352, House Appropriations, State Capitol Building The House Committee on Appropriations was called to order by Chair Witwer. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Witwer, O'Neal, Brixie, Hood, Brabec, Morse, Puri, Steckloff, Weiss, Martus, McKinney, Mentzer, Morgan, Price, Skaggs, Snyder, Wilson, Lightner, Bollin, Green, Slagh, Beson, Borton, Fink, Cavitt, De Boer, Kuhn, Schuette, Steele. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Price joined the committee remotely. Representative Lightner moved to adopt the meeting minutes from January 25, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid the presentation from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation before the committee. President and CEO Quentin Messer, joined by Managing Director Greg Bird, both representing the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, provided a presentation on The SOAR Fund: A Tool for Securing Team Michigan's Future. Questions and discussion followed. There being no further business before the committee, Chair Witwer adjourned the meeting at 9:55 AM.
