BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-2523 FAX: (517) 373-5669 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES March 2, 2023 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Economic and Community Development was scheduled for Thursday, March 2, 2023, at 11:15 a.m., in the 1200 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Presentation from Timothy J. Bartik, Senior Economist with W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research. The Chair called the meeting to order at 11:15 a.m.. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair McMorrow, Sen.(s) Cavanagh, Polehanki, Cherry, McDonald Rivet, Moss, Geiss, Victory and Webber, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Cavanagh to adopt the meeting minutes from February 2, 2023. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited Timothy J. Bartik, Senior Economist with W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research. Member questions followed. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Victory to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. Lindsey was excused from the meeting. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
