- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND MUNICIPAL FINANCE REP. JOHN FITZGERALD CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, February 8, 2023 12:00 PM Room 519, House Office Building The House Committee on Local Government and Municipal Finance was called to order by Chair Fitzgerald. At 12:00 PM, the Chair laid the committee at ease. At 12:03 PM, the Chair called the committee back to order. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Fitzgerald, Byrnes, Shannon, Breen, Rogers, Hill, Hoskins, Zorn, Paquette, Harris, Prestin. Absent: Reps. Paiz, Bezotte. Excused: Reps. Paiz, Bezotte. Representative Shannon moved to adopt the meeting minutes from February 1, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid before the committee a presentation by Deena Bosworth, representing the Michigan Association of Counties. Questions and discussion followed. The Chair laid before the committee a presentation by Judy Allen, representing the Michigan Townships Association. Questions and discussion followed. Representative Hill moved to excuse Representatives Paiz and Bezotte from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent.
