- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON AGRICULTURE REP. REGGIE MILLER CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, February 15, 2023 9:00 AM Room 327, House Office Building The House Committee on Agriculture was called to order by Chair Miller. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Miller, Stone, Young, Coffia, Dievendorf, Fitzgerald, Rheingans, Neyer, VanderWall, Roth, Bierlein, Smit. Absent: Rep. Paiz. Excused: Rep. Paiz. Representative Stone move to adopt Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m. in Room 327 of the House Office Building as the standing day, time, and location of the House Committee on Agriculture. The motion prevailed 11-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Miller, Stone, Young, Coffia, Fitzgerald, Rheingans, Neyer, VanderWall, Roth, Bierlein, Smit. Nays: None. Pass: None. Chair Miller stated that the House Committee on Agriculture will follow the Uniform Committee rules, stated in the House Standing rules, that were adopted on the House Floor. The Chair laid before the committee a presentation on the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. The Chair invited Kathy Angerer, Acting Director of the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and Ashley Steffen, representing the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to give the presentation. Questions and discussion followed. Representative Stone moved to excuse Representative Paiz from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent.
