- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON FAMILIES, CHILDREN AND SENIORS REP. STEPHANIE A YOUNG CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, February 28, 2023 12:00 PM Room 326, House Office Building The House Committee on Families, Children and Seniors was called to order by Chair Young. At 12:01 PM, the Chair laid the committee at ease. At 12:02 PM, the Chair called the committee back to order. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Young, Coffia, Glanville, Arbit, Edwards, MacDonell, Wozniak, Fox, Friske, Johnsen. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Coffia moved to adopt the meeting minutes from January 31, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid a presentation on the Brightmoor Connection Food Pantry before the committee. Roslyn Bouier representing the Executive Director of the Brightmoor Connection Food Pantry gave the presentation. Questions and discussion followed. The Chair laid a presentation on the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Supplemental Nutirition Assistance Program before the committee. Dwayne Haywood and Amy Hundley representing the Economic Stability Administration testified gave the presentation. Questions and discussion followed.
