TYRONE CARTER CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, February 28, 2023 10:30 AM Room 519, House Office Building The House Committee on Regulatory Reform was called to order by Chair Tyrone Carter. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Tyrone Carter, Liberati, Neeley, Scott, Young, Grant, McFall, Snyder, Wilson, Mueller, Filler, Wendzel, Bierlein, Neyer. Absent: Rep. Aragona. Excused: Rep. Aragona. Representative Young moved to adopt the meeting minutes from January 31, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4030 before the committee: HB 4030 (Rep. Rogers) A bill to amend 2000 PA 92, entitled "Food law," by amending section 6101 (MCL 289.6101), as amended by 2012 PA 178. Representative Scott moved to refer HB 4030 to the Committee on Health Policy. The motion prevailed 9-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Tyrone Carter, Liberati, Scott, Young, Grant, McFall, Wilson, Mueller, Filler. Nays: None. Pass: None. The Chair laid before the committee a presentation by Henry Williams and Jasmine Tompkins from the Michigan Gaming Control Board. Questions and discussioin followed. The Chair laid before the committee a presentation by Brett Visner of the Michigan Beer and Wine Wholesalers Association. Questions and discussion followed. Representative Mueller moved to excuse Representative Aragona from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent.
