- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON ENERGY, COMMUNICATIONS, AND TECHNOLOGY REP. HELENA SCOTT CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, March 1, 2023 9:00 AM Room 519, House Office Building The House Committee on Energy, Communications, and Technology was called to order by Chair Scott. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Scott, Andrews, Coleman, Whitsett, Neeley, Byrnes, Churches, Hill, MacDonell, McFall, Wendzel, Outman, BeGole, Greene, Prestin, Schmaltz. Absent: Rep. Aragona. Excused: Rep. Aragona. Representative Outman moved to adopt the meeting minutes from February 8, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid before the committee a presentation by Travis Boeskool, Legislative Liaison, and Cory Connolly, Office of Climate and Energy, Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy. Questions and discussion followed. Cory Connolly testified in support of The Chair laid before the committee a presentation by Eric Frederick, Chief Connectivity Officer, Michigan High-Speed Internet Office, Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity. Questions and discussion followed. Eric Frederick testified in support of Representative Greene moved to excuse Representative Aragona from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. There being no further business before the committee, Chair Scott adjourned the meeting at 10:26 AM.
