- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND MUNICIPAL FINANCE REP. JOHN FITZGERALD CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, March 1, 2023 12:00 PM Room 519, House Office Building The House Committee on Local Government and Municipal Finance was called to order by Chair Fitzgerald. At 12:01 PM, the Chair laid the committee at ease. At 12:04 PM, the Chair called the committee back to order. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Fitzgerald, Byrnes, Shannon, Breen, Rogers, Hill, Hoskins, Zorn, Paquette, Bezotte, Prestin. Absent: Reps. Paiz, Harris. Excused: Reps. Paiz, Harris. Representative Byrnes moved to adopt the meeting minutes from February 8, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid before the committee a presentation by Amy O'Leary, representing the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments, and Dave Bee, representing the West Michigan Regional Planning Commission. Questions and discussion followed. Representative Breen moved to excuse Representative Paiz from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. Representative Bezotte moved to excuse Representative Harris from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent.
