- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON ETHICS AND OVERSIGHT REP. ERIN BYRNES CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Thursday, March 2, 2023 10:30 AM Room 521, House Office Building The House Committee on Ethics and Oversight was called to order by Chair Byrnes. The Clerk read a letter from House Speaker Joe Tate which appointed members of the Ethics and Oversight Committee. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Byrnes, Hope, Breen, Churches, Hoskins, Wegela, Kunse, Wozniak, Harris. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Hope moved to adopt Thursday, at 10:30 a.m., in room 521 of the House Office Building, as the day, time, and location for the regularly scheduled meetings of the House Ethics and Oversight Committee. The motion prevailed 9-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Byrnes, Hope, Breen, Churches, Hoskins, Wegela, Kunse, Wozniak, Harris. Nays: None. Pass: None. The Chair invited members of the Ethics and Oversight Committee to introduce themselves. The Chair laid the presentation from the Office of the Auditor General before the committee. Auditor General Doug Ringler and Deputy Auditor General Laura Hirst, both representing the Michigan Office of the Auditor General, provided a presentation on the Michigan Office of the Auditor General. Questions and discussion followed. There being no further business before the committee, Chair Byrnes adjourned the meeting at 11:15 AM.
