- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON FAMILIES, CHILDREN AND SENIORS REP. STEPHANIE A YOUNG CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, March 7, 2023 12:00 PM Room 326, House Office Building The House Committee on Families, Children and Seniors was called to order by Chair Young. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Young, Coffia, Glanville, Arbit, MacDonell, Wozniak, Fox, Friske, Johnsen. Absent: Rep. Edwards. Excused: Rep. Edwards. Representative Wozniak moved to adopt the meeting minutes from February 28, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid a presentation on the Michigan State University Extension before the committee. Director Dr. Quentin Tyler and Associate Director Dr. Deanna East, representing Michigan State University Extension, gave the presentation. Questions and discussion followed. The Chair laid a presentation on the Michigan League for Public Policy before the committee. Monique Stanton, President and CEO, and Rachel Richards, Fiscal Policy Director representing the Michigan League for Public Policy gave the presentation. Questions and discussion followed. Representative Coffia moved to excuse Representative Edwards from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent.
