- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON HEALTH POLICY REP. CURTIS VANDERWALL CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES The House Committee on Health Policy was called to order by Chair VanderWall. The Chair requested attendance to be called: Present: Reps. VanderWall, Thompson, Meerman, Tisdel, Bierlein, DeBoer, Prestin, Schmaltz, St. Germaine, Bohnak, Frisbie, Brenda Carter, Witwer, Hoskins and Foreman. Absent: Reps. Whitsett and Neeley. Excused: Reps. Whitsett and Neeley. Representative Witwer moved to adopt the meeting minutes from March 12, 2025. There being no objection, the motion prevailed with unanimous consent. The Chair recognized a group of students from the Concordia University Occupational Therapy Program. The Chair laid HB 4072 before the committee: Representative Steckloff testified in support of HB 4072. Dr. Scott Westhouse, representing the Michigan Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, testified in support of HB 4072. Questions and discussions followed.
