- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON FAMILIES, CHILDREN AND SENIORS REP. STEPHANIE A YOUNG CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, March 21, 2023 12:00 PM Room 326, House Office Building The House Committee on Families, Children and Seniors was called to order by Chair Young. The clerk read a letter dated March 7, 2023, from Speaker Joe Tate, removing Representative Neil Friske and adding Representative Jamie Thompson to the Families, Children, and Seniors. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Young, Coffia, Glanville, Arbit, Edwards, MacDonell, Wozniak, Fox, Johnsen, Thompson. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Wozniak moved to adopt the meeting minutes from March 7, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The chair laid a presentation on the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services before the committee. Dr. Sarah Lyon-Callo and Carin Speidel gave the presentation. Questions and discussion followed. There being no further business before the committee, Chair Young adjourned the meeting at 12:49 PM.
