- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON FAMILIES, CHILDREN AND SENIORS REP. STEPHANIE A YOUNG CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, April 11, 2023 12:00 PM Room 326, House Office Building The House Committee on Families, Children and Seniors was called to order by Chair Young. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Young, Coffia, Glanville, Arbit, Edwards, MacDonell, Wozniak, Fox, Thompson. Absent: Rep. Johnsen. Excused: Rep. Johnsen. Representative Coffia moved to adopt the meeting minutes from March 21, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. At 12:03 PM, the Chair laid the committee at ease. At 12:07 PM, the Chair called the committee back to order. The chair laid a presentation from Demetrius Starling, Senior Deputy Director, Children’s Services Administration for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services before the Committee. Questions and discussion followed. Representative Glanville moved to excuse Representative Johnsen from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent.
